The AgLife Network – Connector Training is a suicide prevention gatekeeper and mental health awareness training for anyone involved in agriculture in British Columbia. This program is based on the successful and evidence-based programs: Sentinel Program (Quebec) and Guardian Network (Ontario).
The 2025 Connector Training is adapted from the Canadian Mental Health Association – BC Division’s Suicide Prevention training to reflect BC agriculture. The training is approximately 3.5 hours long (including breaks) and teaches participants a helping framework to support people who may be experiencing thoughts and feelings of suicide or other impacts to mental wellness. This training is designed specifically for people involved in BC agriculture who want to learn valuable skills to support their community members.
