We are excited to invite you to the Nitrogen Management Workshop at the beautiful Elephant Island Winery on September 12, 2024. This event features expert speakers, hands-on demonstrations, and networking opportunities. The day begins with a warm welcome and refreshments, followed by brief introductions and an outline of the day’s activities. Scott Smith, PAg will start the presentations with a discussion on soil development and nitrogen management. After a coffee break, Miranda Halladay will provide insights into the history and management of Elephant Island Winery, followed by Chris Mark presenting innovative strategies for nitrogen management in orchards and vineyards.
Following a catered lunch, Chris will lead a session on soil sampling techniques and current projects at the winery. In the afternoon, Miranda Halladay will showcase her impressive on-site compost pile and discuss its benefits and management techniques. Rickard Bambry will then present the latest nitrogen precision equipment and their applications. The day will conclude with a wrap-up session, general discussion, and a relaxing social time with wine tasting, providing attendees with an excellent opportunity to discuss the workshop with its presenters and network.
