Meeting Topic: Irrigation methods & technology, considerations for establishing new and replanted vineyard sites.

Irrigation planning is critical for establishing a new vineyard site. Choosing between sprinkler systems, drip irrigation, water treatment options and pump systems can be a daunting task without the right knowledge and expertise. In this presentation, German will review different irrigation systems for different types of vineyards and cover crops and discuss new technology options for precision management including sensors and soil moisture monitoring. In-field demonstrations will be happening province-wide throughout the summer to build on concepts presented in this meeting.
